Raimondo Wins by Wide Margin

Rhode Island Democratic Governor Gina Raimondo has won re-election, defeating Republican challenger Cranston Mayor Allan Fung for a second time, as well as several Independents, including former legislator Joe Trillo.

Raimondo, who outspent all of her opponents combined, consistently led in polls, with the most recent numbers showing her with a double digit lead over Fung, her closest competitor.

In other races, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Congressmen David Cicilline and Jim Langevine won re-election.  RI incumbents Lt.
