New Therapy Dog Introduced

(Cranston, RI)  --  The Cranston Police Department and Hasbro Children's Hospital are beginning a therapy dog program for child victims of physical and sexual abuse.  The therapy dog, an Australian Labradoodle puppy named Cali, was introduced on Thursday.  The police department says suspected abuse victims will be paired with the dog after initial contact with police, all the way through potential testimony in a courtroom.  Cali is currently being trained.
