About A Dozen Votes Push Tiverton Casino Revenue Question

(Tiverton, RI)  --  The margin for a question about how to use local revenue from the Tiverton Casino Hotel was razor thin.  The Newport Daily News reports the margin was just thirteen votes for a town charter question, voted on in last week's election, which would have prevented the use of revenue for the town's general operating budget.  The state released the voting numbers yesterday.  Tiverton Town Clerk Nancy Mello told the newspaper that she has been contacted about a recount, and is referring people to the state Board of Elections.
