Upcoming Budget Deficit Highlighted At Hearing

(Providence, RI) -- There is concern about an upcoming budget deficit for the state of Rhode Island. A fiscal advisor warned the House Finance Committee about the state potentially going 160-million dollars in the red over the next year-and-a-half during a hearing on Thursday. Overspending by some state agencies is being blamed. Governor Gina Raimondo's proposed 2019-2020 budget is expected in January.
