(Providence, RI) -- Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza is issuing a veto on the height-related zoning changes needed for the proposed Fane Tower, which would become the tallest building in the state. Elorza said in a statement on Friday that the city and developer were not able to reach agreement on Elorza's request that the city have final approval over the design of the project, rather than just advisory input, which he said was the most important sticking point. The City Council could override the veto with ten votes.
