(New Orleans, LA) -- Governor Gina Raimondo is the new chair of the Democratic Governors Association. That election happened on Saturday at a meeting in New Orleans. Raimondo previously served as the vice-chairwoman of the association this past year. The DGA provided nearly two-million dollars in television advertisements in this year's state governor's race, which saw Raimondo defeat Republican challenger Allan Fung.
