CCRI President Issues Statement After No-Confidence Vote

(Warwick, RI)  --  Community College of Rhode Island President Meghan Hughes is responding after a vote of no confidence was taken against her by unionized faculty members.  The head of the union said Hughes and her leadership team should step down or be removed following the vote, which was called for as a result of CCRI administrators introducing a new winter term.  Hughes, in a responding statement published on GoLocalProv.com, said she remains invested in the work the administration and faculty have accomplished together, noting the college achieved its highest graduation rate in nearly twenty years last spring.
