(Washington, DC) -- Rhode Islanders are taking part this week in services for 41st U.S. president George H.W. Bush, who died last week. Navy Rear Admiral Andrew Loiselle, a Cranston native who has served as commander of the aircraft carrier named for the former president, was an honorary pallbearer on Monday at the U.S. Capitol, according to a report from The Providence Journal. Coast Guard seaman Bryan McConnell, a 2017 graduate of Burrillville High School, will serve as a member of the honor guard that will accompany the body of Bush into the National Cathedral today, also indicated in a Journal report.
