(Providence, RI) -- Governor Gina Raimondo is announcing six judicial nominees for various court seats in Rhode Island. All of the candidates for state Senate consideration are attorneys. Melissa Darigan was nominated to fill the Superior Court vacancy created when Walter R. Stone died. Melissa DuBose and Christopher Knox Smith were nominated for District Court seats, Richard Mercola for the Family Court bench, and Keith Cardoza Jr. and Susan Pepin Fay for Worker's Compensation Court. Raimondo said yesterday that the group is one of the most diverse set of judges ever appointed by one governor at one time.
