(Providence, RI) -- Dates have been set for a special election in House District 68 which includes parts of Bristol and Warren. It's to fill the seat of newly-elected Laufton Ascencao who has resigned before ever taking office. He stepped aside after admitting he falsified an invoice and a check for some mailers he promised to send out on behalf of Democrats running for the town council in Warren. A primary will be held on February 5th, and the special election is scheduled for March 5th.
