State Police Superintendent Retiring

(North Scituate, RI)  --  Rhode Island State Police Superintendent Colonel Ann Assumpico is retiring.  The first female superintendent in state police history, appointed in 2016, made that announcement on Monday.  Assumpico said she launched the most diverse state police training academy in the state's history and that she's immensely proud of the steps that have been taken to achieve her goal of increased diversity throughout the RISP ranks.
