Last Friday was the first day the TSA workers were caught up in the partial government shutdown getting a big fat zero in their paychecks. Yup, the Transportation and Security Agency, those folks responsible for the security of the traveling public are going without compensation for the important work they do thanks to this DC squabble. Many TSA staffers are calling in sick and lines at airports are backing up. Is it lost on our lawmakers that the worst act of terrorism on U-S soil was done with hijacked planes? Think about that for a second. Whether you agree with President Trump's insistence on funding his Wall or you back the Democrats who say a wall is immoral and doesn't represent what this country stands for, you've GOT to agree that TSA employees should be getting paid for the crucial work they do.
