Weekend Precipitation Gets Flash-Frozen

(Undated)  --  Rhode Islanders are in the deep freeze to start off the week after the first significant winter storm of 2019.  The National Weather Service says Burrillville led the way with five inches of snow measured, and four inches were measured in Providence on Saturday before the precipitation transitioned to rain.  The flash-freeze of the slush that followed led to several accidents, including a six-car crash on New London Avenue in Cranston.  Cold temperatures will carry over from yesterday into today, with highs only in the single digits before a warm-up by mid-week.
