Cumberland Schools Step Out Of Special Ed. Collaborative

(Cumberland, RI)  --  A Rhode Island school district is pulling out of an educational co-op.  The Valley Breeze reports the Cumberland School Department is withdrawing from the Northern Rhode Island Collaborative, the Lincoln-based nonprofit working to provide special education services and other programs across the state.  The Cumberland School Committee cited the unknown financial future of the collaborative in voting unanimously to depart last month.  Cumberland was one of thirteen communities in the state involved in the partnership.
