(Providence, RI)--It's the position of Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo that Virginia Governor Ralph Northam should resign over a photo that depicts one person in blackface and another in Ku Klux Klan robes.Northam initially issued a statement on Friday apologizing for appearing in the picture that was published from his 1984 medical school yearbook page, saying it was clearly racist and offensive, but then backtracked on Saturday, and has refused to resign.Both Raimondo and Northam are Democrats, and Raimondo is the chairperson of the Democratic Governors Association.
