(Smithfield, RI)--Drivers saw a unique sight on Interstate 295 in Smithfield on Monday when a water main break caused a cascading waterfall to come down from an overpass.It happened in the afternoon at the Route 7 overpass, causing a traffic slowdown.Smithfield emergency management officials said last night that crews were continuing to make repairs, that the break has been isolated and that customers have water, although they may notice a slight decrease in pressure until repairs are completed.
