(Providence, RI)--The state is releasing the numbers for sports-betting wagers placed in connection to the Super Bowl for the first time since sports-betting was legalized in the state.The Department of Revenue says bettors risked nearly six-point-five-million dollars, while the sports book paid out just under two-and-a-half-million on the wagers for Sunday's game.The state says over three-quarters of the wagers on the point spread were for the New England Patriots.Sports-betting commenced shortly after Thanksgiving last year at Twin River Casino in Lincoln and at the Tiverton Casino Hotel.
