Weather Forces Legislative Postponements, Including A Panhandler Bill

(Providence, RI)--Tuesday's inclement weather caused all committee and commission hearings at the Rhode Island State House to be postponed.Among the bills that were scheduled for a hearing was one introduced by State Representative Charlene Lima threatening motorists with fines if they give money to panhandlers.A State House press release indicates committee and commission meetings that were scheduled for yesterday will be re-scheduled for a later date, as sessions are expected to resume today.
