(Undated)--Northern Rhode Island is currently in the grip of a winter storm that's expected to lay a total of four to seven inches of snow on the ground by Monday afternoon.A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from the National Weather Service for Providence, Kent and Bristol counties, as well as portions of southeastern Massachusetts.Meteorologists say the heaviest snow period is now until the mid-morning hours.
