(Boston, MA)--The former University of Rhode Island women's tennis coach charged with taking more than two-and-a-half-million dollars in bribes in connection to the ongoing national college admissions scandal is pleading not guilty.Gordie Ernst made an appearance in federal court in Boston yesterday.Prosecutors have charged the Cranston native with racketeering conspiracy for helping to get the children of wealthy parents into Georgetown when he was the coach there.A total of twelve defendants pleaded not guilty in connection to the case yesterday.
