(Providence, RI)--The new Providence VIN check station is open.Monday was the first day for the new location for car and truck owners to get their vehicle identification number verified, in the parking garage at 349 West Fountain Street across from the Providence Police Department headquarters.The station had to be moved because of the poor condition of its previous office in a building on Ernest Street.
