Generally, when people think of whiskey, they think of Tennessee and Kentucky. Let it be known, however, that every state in the U.S. has its own whiskey being whipped up and aged to perfection.Liquor.comdid the hard work for you and came up with the best that each state has to offer. Here are some of the highlights to look out for:
- Alabama –John’s Alabama Single Malt Whiskey ($60) – The first to legally sell in the state.
- Alaska –Boatwright Bourbon ($46) – The barometric swings make it special.
- California –B & E American Whiskey ($40) – Their gin rocks, too!
- Colorado –Stranahan’s Single Malt Whiskey ($80) – One that helped put U.S. single malts on the radar.
- Florida –Augustine Florida Double Cask Bourbon ($52) – It ages faster in that climate.
- Georgia –Thirteenth Colony Southern Bourbon ($37) – The mash in 70% corn and 25% rye, and aged four years.
- Hawaii –Ala Wai Hawaiian Whiskey ($129) – Did YOU think Hawaii had its own whiskey?
