Elorza Responds To Trump's Sanctuary City Threat

(Providence, RI)--Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza is reacting to President Trump's proposal to move some illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities and states.Trump tweeted on Monday that migrants who "can no longer be legally held" will be transported, "subject to Homeland Security".The plan is seen by some as retaliation against Democrats who favor sanctuary cities.Elorza put out a statement saying Providence is a welcoming, inclusive city that values the presence and contributions of people from across the world, and he also said it's disheartening that the White House is willing to use lives as bargaining chips.
