Alleged Sender Of Violent And Threatening Emails Arrested

(Boston, MA) -- A Rhode Island man is under arrest for allegedly threatening a college professor in Massachusetts. The U.S. Justice Department says Matthew Haviland of North Kingstown sent a series of violent and threatening emails to the unnamed professor, and to a professional school at the university where the professor teaches. The DOJ says the professor has published and spoken in favor of abortion rights, and several of Haviland's emails reportedly referenced abortion.
