Man Acquitted Of Murder Is Sentenced For Another Crime

(Providence, RI) -- A Cranston man who was acquitted of a murder is being sentenced to nearly two decades in prison. Louis Sinapi was found not guilty of stabbing his friend and former roommate, John Fiore, in 2014. Sinapi was sentenced to 18 years in prison in Superior Court yesterday as a habitual offender for stealing Fiore's car, which he allegedly tried to sell for drugs. He was also sentenced for a probation violation.
