(Providence, RI)--An East Greenwich woman who has been federally charged in a fraud case is being ordered to remain behind bars because of concerns she might try to flee the country.A federal judge on Friday ordered Monique Brady to be held, citing an alleged attempt to travel one-way to Vietnam with her bankruptcy lawyer with whom she had apparently been having an affair. That attorney has been identified as Kevin Heitke, who unsuccessfully ran for state Senate last year. The U.S. Justice Department says Brady told investors she needed money for repair projects for her business preserving the condition of foreclosed homes and fraudulently pocketed millions of dollars.
