Macy's Workers Could Go On Strike

(Warwick, RI) -- Workers at Macy's stores in Massachusetts and Rhode Island could go on strike to fight for a new contract. The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1445 says union members representing stores in Warwick, Boston, Peabody, Natick and Braintree unanimously voted to authorize the action at a meeting on Sunday. UFCW Local 1445 was one of the unions representing Stop and Shop workers who went on strike last month.
