(Newport, RI)--The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority has re-started its Newport Pell Bridge rehab project.The bridge deck replacement began in 2017.Phase one of the current work began last weekend and will continue into August, during which there will not be any rush-hour lane closures, according to RIBTA.Phase two will include demolition and deck replacement and will include more extensive lane closures.The authority held two information sessions in Newport and Jamestown this week.
