(Providence, RI)--The state Senate Committee on Health and Human Services is endorsing the governor's nominee for Rhode Island Health and Human Services Secretary.Following the unanimous vote on Tuesday for Womazetta Jones, the full Senate will vote on whether to confirm the nomination on Thursday.The Providence Journal reports no committee member asked Jones about allegations in a lawsuit that was filed by an employee union against her in the Minnesota county where she worked as the director of social services, and still does.The suit, which has been settled, accused Jones of unfair labor practices.
