Coventry Sending Budget To Voters Again

(Coventry, RI)--Coventry residents are being asked to vote on the town's budget again.The budget was first rejected earlier this month, leading the superintendent of the town's school district to initiate layoffs for hundreds of teachers.The Coventry Town Council adopted a new budget at a meeting last night to send to a referendum on June 13th.If approved, residents would be hit with a two-point-nine-two-percent tax increase, which would translate to about 160 dollars per year.
