(Providence, RI)--A federal judge is giving preliminary approval to a settlement for the troubled St. Joseph's and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital pension plan.The Providence Journal reports the 12-million-dollar settlement with three defendants - the CharterCare Community Board, St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island and Roger Williams Hospital - was approved last Thursday.Those three entities previously owned Fatima Hospital, Roger Williams Medical Center and the now-closed St. Joseph's.The case involving other defendants, including the Catholic Diocese of Providence and Prospect CharterCare, which owns RW Medical Center and Fatima Hospital, is ongoing.
