DNC Announces Which Candidates Qualified For First Debate

The Democratic National Committee is naming the 20 candidates who qualified for the first Democratic debate. To qualify for the debate, candidates had to either have one-percent support in three separate polls or show evidence of at least 65-thousand unique donors.

A number of candidates met both qualifications, including early front-runners former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Bernie Sanders and Senator Elizabeth Warren. The candidates will be broken up into two groups of ten, which will debate over two nights – June 26thand 27th– in Miami. The lineups for each event haven't been determined(a full list of those being included is below).

Four candidates didn't make the cut at all: Montana Governor Steve Bullock; former Alaska Senator Mike Gravel; Miramar, Florida Mayor Wayne Messam; and Massachusetts Congressman Seth Moulton.
