Bill Would Change Standards For Being Deemed Toll Violator, Evader

(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island General Assembly is passing a bill cracking down on bridge toll violators and evaders.Should the bill be signed by Governor Gina Raimondo, it will cut in half the number of infractions for someone to be considered a violator from twenty to ten, and for someone to be an evader, the number shrinks from one-hundred to twenty.Toll violators cannot renew their driver's license or vehicle registration until tolls are paid, while evaders could have their licenses suspended.
