Schools Visited For Critical Report Identified

(Providence, RI)--The dozen Providence public schools that were visited by researchers who then produced a scathing report on those schools are being identified.The Rhode Island Department of Education says the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy recently visited four elementary and middle schools: Gilbert Stuart, Martin Luther King, Carl G. Lauro, Nathanael Greene, E-Cubed Academy, DelSesto, Asa Messer and Pleasant View.They also included four high schools: Hope, Mount Pleasant, Providence Career and Technical, and Roger Williams.Mayor Jorge Elorza's office says the city is investing about twenty-million dollars in infrastructure improvements to schools this summer.
