(Bristol, RI)--Interim Bristol Police Chief Brian Burke is commenting on a sexual abuse investigation against a prominent local official.Burke told The Boston Globe on Friday that local police were working with state police on looking into the claims against David Barboza, a former town police officer and Fourth of July parade marshal, and highly encouraged anyone who was a victim of sexual misconduct to come forward.The Globe reported last week on a state police investigation that began in 2014 into allegations that Barboza sexually abused two boys and solicited a third decades ago; he now faces accusations from a fourth individual.
