(Providence, RI)--School is starting soon, so here's a reminder that the city of Providence is going to be activating its school-zone speed cameras.The city has fifteen cameras that will be active starting September 3rd, including six new locations for schools on Broad, Cranston and Dexter streets, and Branch, Douglas and Academy avenues.Automatic violations will be issued for vehicles going eleven miles an hour or more over the speed limit.As part of a lawsuit settlement, the city's speed cameras can only operate on school days.
