(Undated)--Rhode Island is going to avoid a direct hit from Hurricane Dorian, but there will still be effects felt from the storm.The National Weather Service says from late tonight to Sunday, a southerly swell associated with the system will affect southern Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. Forecasters say there will be dangerous surf conditions expected and a high risk of rip currents, along ocean-exposed coastlines. There also remains a threat for tropical storm-force winds.
