A large night parachuting exercise at an Army base in Mississippi ended in an accident and officials have no idea why it went wrong.
An Army official at Camp Shelby said they don't know what went wrong during the night jump that injured 22, with seven of the victims being taken to the hospital. The massive exercise involved 650 Army personnel, and those injured had jumped from the C-130 aircraft when a rogue burst of wind pushed them off target and into a cluster of pine trees.
Members of the 25th Infantry Division out of Alaska, sent to Camp Shelby for specialized training, were part of the jump and among the injured.
