The search for a kidnapped Birmingham toddler has expanded to neighboring states, including Mississippi.
An Amber Alert remains in effect for three-year-old Kamille“Cupcake”McKinney, who was snatched from an outdoor birthday party at an apartment complex Saturday night. Police took into custody two persons of interest Sunday night after receiving a tip about a vehicle fitting the description of an SUV seen on surveillance video. They say the child is in “extreme danger.”
Authorities say the child was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt with leopard print Mickey Mouse and leopard print shorts with no shoes.
Alabama governor Kay Ivey has announced that her office is offering a five thousand dollar reward for information leading to the recovery of Cupcake and the arrest of the kidnappers.
