(Providence, RI)--Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza talked about the state takeover of city public schools at a meeting on Tuesday night.Earlier yesterday, state Education Commissioner Angelica Infante-Green said the takeover would last at least five years.The Providence Journal reports Elorza, speaking at the Providence Coalition of Neighborhood Associations, said he doesn't see a complete turnaround in five years and that the city has to engage in a long-term process.
