(Providence, RI)--Providence officials are launching a campaign targeting student absenteeism.The campaign, called PVD-180, engages youth through videos from local and national celebrities.The social media campaign posted a message on Wednesday from Law and Order star Ice-T, who urged kids to stay in school.It's estimated that 45 percent of Providence students are chronically absent over the course of a school year.
