(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island State Police says there is an internal and criminal investigation ongoing after a trooper's gun was stolen from his car.RISP says the service weapon was taken from the vehicle in Federal Hill in Providence on Friday night.The off-duty officer was reportedly attending a family function when someone broke in and took the firearm, plus a pair of handcuffs.Officials say the trooper is still on the job.
