A 10-year-old boy was picked for jury duty in Connecticut, but the family handled it.
Nick Dondero is a fifth-grader and was surprised, along with his family, that he got called for jury duty. The family laughed about it and his mom tucked it away. Three weeks later she found it and responded.
Luckily there’s a box to check if you’re underage, which mom did. The Judicial Branch says the family did the right thing. They also note that since the list compiled for jury duty doesn’t include ages, this happens fairly regularly.
