(Providence, RI)--A new federal grant is being announced to help with repairs to part of the Washington Bridge carrying Route 195.Members of Rhode Island's Congressional delegation say the project will get a 25-million-dollar boost from the grant, meaning the federal government is now committed to a total of 56-million of the proposed 70-million-dollar job.Officials say the westbound span of the bridge is in poor structural condition.
