(Providence, RI)--The state is ruling in favor of a former Providence tax assessor in a case against the city.The Department of Labor and Training Board of Review said last week Thaddeus Jankowski cannot be denied benefits because he was not fired from his job for reasons of work-related misconduct, according to a Providence Journal report.The city said Jankowski was fired in July because of unauthorized vacation days.He was seeking about four-thousand-dollars' pay.
