House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says President Trump's conduct is "so much worse" that the acts that forced former President Richard Nixon out of office.
On CBS's “Face the Nation,” the California Democrat said President Trump is welcome to testify before the committees conducting the impeachment inquiry against him, adding that he has every opportunity to make his case. Pelosi also criticized Trump for lobbing insults at those testifying in the impeachment probe.
“He should not frivolously throw out insults. But that’s what he does,” she offered. “I think part of it is his own insecurity as an impostor. I think he knows full well that he’s in that office way over his head, and so he has to diminish everyone else.”
Speaking of "everyone else" in the GOP," Pelosi maintains that she's sure they don't support the President's habit of tweeting insults.
