Animal Confinement Charges Dropped Against Woman In Dog Deaths Case

(Newport, RI)--All charges are dropped against a Jamestown woman who initially faced three felony counts of animal cruelty following the death of three dogs.The Newport Daily News reports misdemeanor charges of animal confinement were dropped earlier this month in District Court against Anne Garnett after she made a 15-hundred-dollar contribution, performed 30 hours of community service and lost possession of her pets for 60 days.Police responded to a report of three unresponsive dogs in a vehicle in front of a Jamestown marketplace on July 21st, but the dogs were later pronounced dead at Newport Animal Hospital.
