Milford, CT) -- Immigration activists are credited with preventing the arrest of a Connecticut woman by an immigration agent inside a state courthouse. John Lugo with Unidad Latina en Accion says he knows the agents have a job to do, but that's not the place to do it.
The activists swooped in when an ICE agent in plain clothes began arresting Ana Lucero yesterday at Milford Superior Court. The woman is a U.S. citizen, and agents began making the arrest when she refused to provide identification. Activists immediately began recording video, and the agents backed off when Lucero pulled out her ID.
