(Providence, RI)--Candidate are lining up to replace outgoing Providence City Councilman Seth Yurdin.The Providence Journal reports so far, three Democrats are running for the Ward 1 seat, which represents Fox Hill, downtown and parts of the College Hill and Wayland areas.They are Nick Cicchitelli, the president of the Fox Point Neighborhood Association, Anthony Santurri, who owns a pair of downtown establishments, and John Goncalves, an educator and member of a citywide neighborhood group.Justice Gaines, who ran against Yurdin in 2018, announced on Monday she would not be running in the upcoming special election.
