(Providence, RI)--The director of inspections and standards for the city of Providence is fired.Jeffrey Lykins, who has held the position since 2009, tells The Boston Globe he was let go last Thursday but wasn't given a reason.A spokesperson for Mayor Jorge Elorza's office tells the Globe there is a review of permitting records underway, but did not comment further on Lykins' departure.
